we're back to a summer of swimming. it's been so fun!
the 1st and 2nd grader (jones and blinkles) got passes to the fun water park and they had to be used by the end of june. so i took them on a perfect day. we had SO MUCH FUN! it honestly was a great memoriable day for the 3 of us. we were out in the sun from 11am until closing at 8pm. the kids were both exactly 48 inches tall so we were able to go on every single ride there!
next, we took a float trip down the local "city river". i left the two littles at nana's house and otter pop was working, but we went with another helpful family of mostly all bigs, so the bigs out-numbered the littles and we were safe and had tons of fun. little miss binkles has proved herself brave. at the water park she went down the new attraction slide which stands you in a tube and then the bottom opens up and you just FALL DOWN THE SLIDE! when we floated the river she jumped off the bridge! i love that little spirit of fun-lovin' adreneline. :)
here's the funniest thing that's happened so far though:
at our weekly pool day, little boo decided she likes diving. i think she saw me dive into the river and thought it looked like more fun than just jumping feet first. well, then she decided to flip too. anyway, she flipped in the pool and water went up her nose and she came up coughing and sputtering. i came over to her and asked her if she was choking, to which she nodded. i asked her if she swallowed some water, to which she also nodded, then replied, "and i didn't chew first!" i laughed and laughed and laughed!!!
the kids are all getting more comfortable and better with their skills. it's been a great summer so far...
