we had FOUR kids start school last week. FOUR = 4 = WHAT?!?
even crazier? wolfie started HIGH SCHOOL! as in, the last of 3 levels of primary education, or the last of secondary education, or just plain old SHE'S IN HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!
little boo isn't so little any more. she was pleased as pink at just the thought of going to school, so of course she loves it! she told her teacher at the end of the day, "thanks for finally letting me come to school." i'm not kidding, she has been waiting impatiently for school since February 8 this year when she turned 5. she knew that when she turned 5 she got to start school, so on her birthday morning, she hustled and got dressed and sat up for breakfast quickly and asked, "where's my backpack? I get to go to school today 'cause now i'm 5!" it broke my heart that she was so anxious to get off to school, but I recovered and so did she when she found out it wouldn't be for a few or 6 months. she's a smartie though and she'll do well.
jones and binkles also were happy to return back after a great summer.
next, we're looking forward to 2 girls in girl scouts this year and i'm a daisy troop leader for the girls' troop. that seems like it might be fun, but i'll let you know for sure in a month or two. or, after cookie season, I should say!
the kids have already suffered a mild cold from back-to-school sickness. all three elementary kiddos stayed home with me yesterday and today just jones...
wolfie is enjoying the large pond. I think [hope, rather] that she's adapting well. they have block schedule where they have four classes on one day and then a different four the next. I think that would be difficult to get to used to, but on the good hand she has a whole day to get homework done!
we're still shopping around for a new home. no news on the miracle home that came up...
happy back to school, my readers. I hope it's treating you well.
