since we refrain from celebrating Halloween as the world does, our family doesn't get very many opportunities to play dress up. this new year's eve, we've been invited to a costume party. our whole family! how fun, right?!
so, here's the plan. if you have any ideas that are free or extremely cheap, let me know.
otter: minion, from despicable me
me: red riding hood, from the story book little red riding hood.
wolfie: merida, from brave
binkles: a monarch butterfly, from planet earth
jones: hal Jordan as a green lantern, from the green lantern
boo: elsa, from frozen
starboy: spiderman, from the marvel comics
buttercup: TBD --this is where I could use some ideas!
so far we've limited our expenses. we still need to take a trip to some of the second-hand stores. I just have the perfect "red riding hood" cape, I don't know what to wear underneath... we need a yellow hoodie (size lg.) for otter pop, and a pair of blue overalls (size whatever he'd be). wolfie is also looking for a better cover-it-all green dress. she'll probably make her bow, arrows, and quiver (or whatever it is that holds all the arrows on a belt.)
anyway, we're excited and hoping to bring home a prize or two... stay tuned and next year i'll let you know how it went. maybe i'll even post a picture or eight. :)
