starboyisms

i love having a talkative little tyke.  starboy's really verbal and almost completely understandable for those of us that live with him. 

however, for talking so well, he sure has a cute way of saying some words. 

i'm pretty sure he can pronounce most things correctly with the exception of the "r" sound still... but that's pretty normal (we're working with boo on it still).

(sorry for the bad pic.  it's through the screen door.  he was SO CUTE out there in his sister's snowboots, looking up adoringly to his dadna.)

here's a short list of some of my favorite starboyisms:

• dadin or dadna = daddy (aleemay said it the same way when she was as young!)
• milt = milk
• helk = help
• nana = banana
• gaw-gaw or og-og = dog
• ut = up
• poot = toot and poop (and those one things that combine those two), also very confusing because his food sounds almost the same as poot.  he signs that one to help me out!

i really love the way he says sowwy (always with a big hug and sometimes kiss too)!

of course since i finally got to writing this, i can't think of any others.  but i'll try and add more as i think of them / hear them.

Try to remember, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
